Typology: Extension on a Family Home
Team: Frida Dahl Obrestad
Location: Karmøy
Status: Built
Date: 2021
This project is a living room extension for a residential home, framing the outide garden. The space is designed to provide ample natural daylight for indoor plants, flowers, and family interactions. The eastern facade, constructed with polycarbonate, was designed to obscure visual pollution and block views from the adjacent road. Envisioned for versatile use throughout the seasons, the space can extend outward to the garden on warmer days, with linen curtains and adaptable facades allowing for flexible temperature and light control. The project was completed in close collaboration with craftsmen, offering valuable experience in dialogue and revisions during the construction phase.
